Since the ECM came out of a Camaro, I thought maybe one of you guys could offer some insight. (BTW, this is an excellent site and forum. The Prom Burning introduction is especially useful- thanks to all who share such info.)

I need some advice as to which bin I should start with for a manual transmission.

Here are my particulars:
'84 Jeep CJ-7 with 304, stock except as noted
Edelbrock Performer Intake - no EGR
Headers
Open Element Air Filter
4 sp. manual Jeep tranny

I am preparing to install the TBI and ECM (with all sensors) from a '92 Camaro RS with 305. The stock prom is AXKW, but I'm not sure what this application is.

I've searched the bin directory at the DIY-EFI ftp site, but I can't make heads or tails of these 4 letter codes.

My questions are: What bin should I start with. Does anyone know what application AXKW is for (manual or auto?)

Well, I can't much help you with the bin reccomendation. But I can tell you that you will be running PIG rich at idle and kinda lean at WOT with the Performer. You are definately gonna need some chip work.

If I had to reccomend a bin I would say to go with the ANLU bin but it's an auto chip and I'm not real familiar with the Auto/manual chip differences. I'm sure that eomone could help you out with that.

Check out my website. Under My car there is an eprom page link. I have a chart of useful information about the different bins.
ANTR APTY AXKW, those are all the bins for a 49 state (not including cali) manual with the 8746 ecm. I only have the AXKW from the diy-efi ftp incoming folder.
Good luck
