new to the 88 model year..
Im trying to data log my 88 z28. I bought my cable from aldlcable.com and hooked it up to my 92 just fine but now they are saying i need the 10 k resistor modification to get it to stream data on my 88. The cable came with a 10 resistor but im confused as to where i put it. They say short the a and b terminal but the cable has the what looks like the B and G terminal already in use from the wires coming from the cable..

They are correct. 10K of resistance goes between terminals A & B of your ALDL connector on the car side. A & B are the right-most pins on the first row of the connector.
