Does anybody have?

A stock 350 vortec timing table they would be willing to share? I don't really need a bin but a screenshot of the timing tables would really be appreciated.
thanks in advance,

Tim

Need a bit more clarification. As there is no "stock vortec" used on a Thirdgen, I assume you are looking for the timing tables from a truck. FYI, most trucks have a VERY MILD spark table, so I am not entirely sure it will work for you.

If you go to this website, there are many stock GM bins. Go to www.tuner.cat and determine which ECM you are interested in and then download the appropriate bin.

Yes, that table looks similar to some of the spark tables I've seen on other bins for Vortec Trucks.

Grimmy,
sorry about that. Yes it is for a truck. I am considering going with trick flow heads for my LO3.They are a fast burn style head so I thought a vortec timing table might be a good starting point. I also live in Kalifornia so an additional chip is a necessary item for the smog *****.

Alanwie, Thank you for the screenshot.

I have found stock Vortec Trucks respond very nicely to more spark. I've seen as much as 30RWHP more with spark table modifications alone on an otherwise stock truck.

If you are going to retain the the stock TBI ECM ('846 as I recall), just start with your stock spark tables and tune from there. Better yet, talk to RBob and check out his EBL system, if you haven't dones so already.

I realize you are in California but I don't think the smog ***** dig into the ECM itself. I know a few of the SoCal guys do eprom mods, which are technically not permitted by California's smog laws...but I personally feel that if you can modify your car and STILL make it meet the HC, CO & NOx levels that are permitted for the original vehicle, then it SHOULD be permitted.

In fact, with some "careful" tuning, it is possible to reduce HC, CO & NOx levels that you would get over the stock system. Where I use to live, required an IM240 dyno emissions test where the government actually reduced the emissions levels BELOW California's for my particular car. I was actually able to make it pollute less (until I decided to move to a "emission testing free" area).

Good luck.

Grim,
thanks for the advice. I've already talked to Bob and have the EBL. It has been very impressive. Back in the day when Kali first started doing the sniffer test I was certified to do the testing. That was when you could "touchup"the adjustments to make it pass. What I remember is that very slight adjustments to timing or carbs caused a large change in the readings. It was for this reason I was going to go to a stock timing table, as it is proven to pass. After Reading what you had to say I may just give it a try. Thank you for all your advice.
