1228746 Patch Method Eliminate Knock Test ANLU BIN

Has anyone else figure out how to use the assebler AS11.exe given on the post "Patch Method Demo"?

I'm trying to eliminate the knock test that plagues TBI Camaros with 1228746 89-92 TBI (The ANLU bin is fine except for that flaw from the factory)

Also, are there any confict issus when using tunerpro with a bin that has been modified with such a patch?

My programming skills are limited to some C++ so please bear with my novice situation.

Thank you,

Ed

The s19 file is included in the zip file (CODE43.S19). That is the file required for applying the patch. To use the as11.exe assembler, at a DOS commend line:

as11 code43.asm

That will create some output along with the s19 file.

Use the s19_pat.exe utility (first post in the patch demo thread) to apply the patch to the BIN.

No issue with TunerPro or other editor. The patch only affects the code.

Thank you for responding Rbob. Would it be better to apply the patch in a PC running pure Dos 6.22 rather than the command prompt under XP?

Should be OK in a DOS window under XP. For some reason microsoft felt it to important to keep a good DOS emulation
