Newbie finally diving in....

Hello all. I finally got an APU1 package and am ready to start the learning curve. I am using a 16168625, $E6-BDJW. I have been poking around looking at the stock bin and wanted to compare the differences from the JET chip that I have had for years. When I read the JET chip, a lot of the numbers and tables are way off. Using the Hex Editor, it appears that the data starts at 5000 instead of 4000. But, even using a base offset of 1000 in the xdf header editor, the constants/tables do not appear to be correct.
Any ideas on how to read the JET chip correctly.
I do plan on using my stock bin to start making changes, I was just curious as to what was different on the JET chip.
Thanks,
JR

often these chips you pay for are intentionally buggered up so that you can't read them for various reasons.

The most obvious reason of course being that they don't want you to discover how bone stock their chip really is.

The really big thing that always bugged me about the JET chip was that the transmission shifts very soft compared with the stock chip. JET told me they do not do anything to the shifting, but I know it changes something. I wanted to see what the line pressure stuff showed compared to the stock chip. The other stuff I am going to tune where it wants to be anyway.
I just flashed my first chip. Changed shift points and some simple things.
Little steps first...
