Dumb question??
Dumb question??
Hey Just got my ebl set up in the mail and have a few dumb questions. Doo you need a prom in place to run your engine?? Or will the ebl do it without one. If I do, then I have to reburn my stock prom to a 28pin chip right. Or I guess that I can download a bin from someone else right?? Also I do not currently have a iat sensor on my vehicle. Does anyone have a wirring schematic to show me where to tap into the ecm for the iat sensor. I am using a 7747 ebl modified, if that helps. Sorry for all the questions, I just getting started. THanks again

Re: Dumb question??
You do need a chip unless you're using an emulator (Autoprom, Ostrich).
The EBL came with it's own BIN. Your old BIN will not work anymore. The EBL BIN is a generic BIN (sort of) that will work with most of the TBI applications out of the box.
I don't use an IAT sensor, but I hear it doesn't hurt. If you don't use it, just disable the flag and change the CTS vs IAT bias to 100% CTS.
The "7747" part of the ECM...you just removed for the EBL. You don't really have a 7747 ECM anymore.
