ok....here goes.(deep breath)Just got the wifes 89 tpi trans am running and home last night after 305-350 swap.still on the 305 chip.i am verry interested in burrning a new chip to match the 350 engine,and have spent the better part of a week studying the diy prom boards,and whew(wipes sweat from brow)lots of killer info.I have learned more than i thought possible.(even for me).Through all of it,i am left with only one question to get me started(and im sure i may have just missed the answer someware)what would be the best stock bin and def file to use with a stock 350,auto tranny,tpi car.i just cant seem to find a definitave answer....thanks.

it depends on which ECM you used.
i may be wrong on the 165 stuff as i haven't messed with that ECM. if i am wrong, hopefully someone will jump in & say something.
if you used a 1227165, i think you need the AUJM 6E bin,

for the 165 bin Def file, 6E.xdf & for the ALDL Def file, 1227165_6E.ads,

if you used a 1227730 ECM, you need the AUJP bin.
there are several files for both bin Def & ALDL Def for the 8D 7730.
you can get 1 of each from the tunerpro site listed above.

I do have tunerpro,and have been playing with 6e and arap,just to get used to the way things work.figured it was safer to learn it this way to start.i will be going down to the garage shortly to figure out which ecm is in the car.i think the biggest thing that was confusing me was which one to use for auto tranny.thanks a bunch.guess its time to get that ostrech on the way.Thanks a bunch.
