EBL in LM at Idle...

Greets according to the docs the LM should not occur until a mph is reached... I see the light on at idle... she idles fine about 600/650. Does this mean I may have a VSS issue or do I need to adjust the VSS EBL settings to fix this issue... not she does not always come on... and if I blip the pedal she makes it light sometimes and not others...?

thanks

Re: EBL in LM at Idle...

Launch mode will activate under the specified MPH. This is so the SA isn't added once the vehicle is under load. The most likely reason it is going active is because of MAP fluctuations. Try increasing the 'LM - Delta MAP threshold enter' value a few KPa and see if it helps prevent LM from going active during idle.

I too have seen the LM going active at idle. The LM SA table typically doesn't have any additional timing in the idle area of the table (by RPM & KPa). So other then possibly shortening the true LM duration it doesn't affect anything.
