I am seeing a very rich PE in my WB logs(11.7). I do not have much VE learning occurring above 3600 rpms even though I have attempted to log there(NB). When I moved my fueling tables for pre EBL (7747-$42) to EBL I added in about 20% fuel to be purposefully rich and I surely am in PE. I have since removed that enrichment by 20%.
So my question is as I enter PE(50% TPS for me) does the PE calc follow the VE tables in that it will look at each fueling cell it is in during PE as it transitions through the RPMs? For instance, if I am at 2500 rpms 50 MAP and I stab the throttle to 100%TPS I should be instantly in PE after AE times out(i can see that transition in WB log)? So assuming PE mode, the row used to calc PE would be 95 MAP(for me) and a seperate calc is done for each RPM row up to 5800 rpms or higher.
Now further assuming no learning has ever been done in those cells for BLM would not the ECU use the current VE fuel value in those cells to calc PE? If learning has been done say 112 BLM(removing fuel) it would use the 128 to be on safe side? That would lead to a rich PE?

For the no-learn above 3600 RPM, check the upper RPM limit for BLM learning (BLM - RPM Learn Threshold). I think the stoock upper threshold is about 3600 rpm.
PE calc: yes, while in PE mode the VE table area is from the current RPM & MAP values. The VE for the calc follows the engine's RPM & MAP as it travels the table.
In PE mode it uses the 'safe' BLM value. When less then 128, then 128 is substituted. If the BLM is above 128, then that value is used.

Just remember it won't learn if you're in PE which can be difficult to get those high RPMs without entering PE. Why are you not doing learns with the wideband instead of the BLMs? I've found the WB to be MUCH more accurate and helpful at high RPM.

Why no use the WB? Good Question.. A creature of habit. Actually much of this summer I had no laptop to use as new is Vista and Prominator cannot be seen with Vista. Using old damaged laptop(XP) with damaged screen with desktop montor past week. Still waiting on my friend to install XP on new unit
Another good question is why dont i use my VAFPR with EBL. Need to do that soon too as I am all set up to do so.
Same on IAT. Sensor in place(last one was defective) but not yet changed .bin IAT vs coolant bias table.
That ski boat is taking too much of my time.
