URGENT - Quick Question
I just broke off a few pins from the cable (part that plugs into the ecm) of my ostrich and now the car is in limp mode. My engine is out of a 1990 TPI (but still MAF and still 165 ecm) and the only thing i can think of for a quick fix while i wait for a new cable to be sent over, is plugging back in my 1986 305 chip. Is this gonna cause any problems if its only for a week or so?? Thanks

Re: URGENT - Quick Question
It would probably be better than running in limp mode for a week.
The '86 PROM is for a TPI as well?

Yep.
I dont think i could even drive it in limp mode - it idles ok but conks out when you start to accelerate.

I broke off one of the ribbon cable pins also. Watched as my tuner fixed it in about 20 seconds - he attached a new pin into the connector. Not sure where he got the pins but maybe you can harvest some from another ribbon cable.
