WOT tuning
With a 6E computer, what tables are used to determine the WOT fuel delivery?
I know power enrichment plays a big part, but is that it? Does MAF reading at WOT play any part?
I run a vortec tuned port w/ lt4 hotcam, and looking over passed datalogs of quarter mile runs, my MAF never maxes...I'm wondering if the scalar tables could be incorrect on the top end?
My MAF is descreened if that makes any difference..
Also, power enrichment vs rpm and power enrichment vs temp, how do these tables get used. My PE vs temp tables say 22% at operating temp, while from 2800-6400 my PE vs rpm say something along the lines of 10%. What are these percentages of?

The PE percentages are from 14.7:1 (Stoichiometric).
The ECM recieves the airflow via the MAF and corrects the fuel delivery based upon Coolant Temeperature, Intake Air Temperature, PE tables, and BLM values (Oxygen sensor feedback).

Ok, so, you are telling me that BLMs play a part even at WOT?
Also, as far as PE, if stoich is 14.7, and PE vs temp says 22%, and PE vs rpm is 10% for where I would be at WOT, then its just making it 32% richer? Or am I mistaken?

Yes the 6E will continue to use the MAF Scalar tables when in WOT (as will the SD use the VE Tables). But those tables (MAF Scalar & SD VE Tables) are suppose to be designed around 14.7:1. The additional fuel to obtain 12.6-13.0 when in WOT should be from the P/E Tables.
That is why "maxing the MAF" to 255 gm/sec becomes so critical: the ECM will not make any further fuel adjustments via the MAF once the 255 gm/sec value is reached. Then you must add more (sometimes significantly more) via the P/E tables than you would need to if the MAF was still able give a useful reading beyond 255.
But to max the MAF, either the engine is BIG, very high revving or uses a power-adder.
And it is not a big deal to compensate via the P/E table. You just need to get a WB reading and make adjustments until you get in the 12.6-13.0 range.
