Ready To Data Log
I got my stuff from Moates today, I have a HDR1 memcal header, ALDU1 and CABL1 XtremeALDL and NewCABL1 combo, Burn1 USB and the GP1 package. I am reading and printing to reread some more. I am hesitant on where to start. So how to start with all these pieces. Im operating on the side of caution as to not mess up something.
I have downloaded the $0D bin and LADL files already, I need those correct?
Now Im going to plug my cables in an run tuner pro and see what my data log is. Any guidance from here would be supper! Thankx

Re: Ready To Data Log
Sounds like you're ready to go.
As a base point, connect the HDR1 to your memcal and read out your bin file from the memcal. Save the file as abase point.
That way you know exactly where you are starting. The LADL, $0D bin may be the same but its best to be sure.
Get evreything connecting good (which may try your patience at first but don't give up) Check all of your laptop comm settings etc. Thats usually the prop\blem area at first.
Start reading what is going on and examining the logs for BLM fueling and see how it looks.
Go from there to start planning your next move.
Good luck and welcome to the world of tuning

Re: Ready To Data Log
I am going to add something to what JP said. I would correct your cylinder volume and injector flow constants as well as set the RPM limiter and speed limiter to the desired places. I would also move the kickdown mode (WOT) upshift/downshift points to the desired speed/rpm. Then work with the BLMs to narrow in on the fuel table. The TBI truck PCM calibrations have a good lack of timing, even in a truck. Most cals rarely exceed 20* total timing @ WOT and have a very lazy advance curve. I usually mimic the old 300 HP 350 distributor advance settings, atleast initially.

Re: Ready To Data Log
Responses! Thanks guys. I have just finished adjusting my pref's in TunerPro and now Im going to figure out how to hook up in the truck and see if anything works. Do I need the A217 engine file for tuner pro. I remember reading that a little while ago somewhere. Getting used to new programs and (things of this technicality) are somewhat overwhelming at first. Hey, soon Ill be looking back on this while "Beluga" is running smoother and smiling! Fingers crossed!
