ok Someone please tell me this makes since.. I had my car tuned pretty good, well i dropped a valve , So i pulled the motor fixed the problem. Put the motor back the only change i made was, going from 8 degrees base timing to 6 degrees. The car ran great when you first started the car then when it went into closed loop it would start running real rough. Afr going in the etreme both directions and everyonce inawhile popping back throught the trottle body...................................please help with a idea someone because im all out

 

Check all your ground straps. Mine acted crazy when I first put the engine back in and thats what my problem ended up being.

 

i Call myself checking that, but you are so right thats exactly what it sounds like. I have checked them i know three times but i think im going to go tomorrow with a fresh mind and look again

 

run a scan to check out the o2 sensor, sometimes they don't survive engine work. Map vacuum line. maybe???

O2 and map are some of the few things that get used closed loop not open.

 

thanks guys...I finally found it was in fact a ground. I took all of my grounds a loose and re fastened them to the block and it seems to have fixed the problem
