Unheated manifold tips???
Unheated manifold tips???
Just wondering if anyone has any tips that can help me out?? When the manifold is cold or slightly cool, for the first couple of minutes run time in Park/neutral. I get a lean out condition that will happen when I just tap the Throttle it will lean out and stall. It will also do this once or twice while in drive and just starting to accell from a stop, if im not smooth and slow on throttle. After a few minutes of running it is perfectly fine. It will also do this sometimes when I go from Park to drive. High map change causes a lean stumble/stall. Now i know that a heated manifold may help but is there any tricks that you guy's suggest. Once in closed-loop it is good. I can drive around it no problem, but i can also make it happen at will when I first fire it up. Any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated!!! My Ae/Pe and BLM are all very good. By the way its a 7747ecm $42 mask and An Air-gap manifold. Thanks again.

Re: Unheated manifold tips???
unheated manifolds are a PITA, I have one, not an air gap though. Is this in just open loop? or is it in closed loop also? I am using the EBL, so I was able to add to the multiplier for my AE vs CTS. Maybe change the "open loop afr vs MAP table"? Get it a little richer for the high maps when in open loop.
Re: Unheated manifold tips???
Yes this does only seem to happen when in O/L. I have increased that area a little bit, 16% but it still seems to do it. Maybe i need a bit more. Once in C/L it seems fine. THanks for the reply!! Anyone else got any ideas??
