Hi, just wondering , if a have a ajustable maf and a wb o2 sensors ; isnt it the easy way , maybe the best thing to do to adjust the afr of the engine itself ? ived try to burn chip but , it not that easy thing to do...

Setting the adjustable Maf changes the AFR at all air flows. A programed chip can be lean at idle, okay at cruise, and rich at WOT. Which way would you adjust up or down?

BTW this is what my car is with a stock chip.

ok, so the best should be a adjustable maf ... if i can get the right afr at wot and at cruise and so at idle why should i bother me to make a chip ... maybe some one have a another idea about that...

If this were true there would be more adjustable MAF's and no use for DIY prom.

There is a lot more to tuning a vehicle then just the AFR. Spark timing makes a huge difference in driveability and power. TCC lockup points, electric fan control, A/C control, and so on make or break the tune.
