What is the significance of the three boxes for MALF display in WU-EBL?

For IAT low 25 I have a flickering red far left others blank. bits are unchecked for both 23 and 25 as the IAT is not functional at this time. It is connected to ECU.

For Prom I have a solid red far right others blank. Yet Prominator says upload successful and car CE is not on. I get the double flash on key on and car runs well. Bin in TP looks normal?

 

First box is the test for the malfunction. If lit then it failed. Flashing means that it failed, is reset, tested again, and failed again. Second box is that the malfunction has lasted long enough to toss the SES light. This can be masked out. Third box is that the malfunciton code is now set in NV ram. Will blink out on the SES light with AB shorted.

Yes, you can have a SES and not have the code stored in NV ram.

I am not too concerned about the IAT malf. I am going to work on that issue as soon as time allows. I bought the Radio Shack resister and will see if I can get some recognition of the IAT being functional. It is verified at the correct pin in harness and shows 5V at sensor.

The Prom has me concerned. Car runs great today. Datalog and VE-L fully functional. Could there be ann issue with Prominator? I would think if bin "corrupted" in some manner it would fail upload or set dash CE light. Key on it does the blink-on routine. So is this something I should look into further?
