hot start issues
Hey guys I'm f'ed here. I got in accident with my main car so I need to use the camaro for a dd for a while. If I can't get her running ita a rental for the next month for about a grand which I don't have. Please I need Help bad and fast.
I just put a rebuilt 350 in her with my tpi setup.Everything ran fine with the 305 but now with the 350 i have some issues. I was running the super aujp with emmisions on on the 305. The only change i made was to turn of the emmisions stuff. I also put old chip back in but she does the same thing.
Problem is after she warms up if i shut her down she won't start again. She will crank till I kill the battery but won't refire. After she cools down for a considerable time she will roar back to life. I have no clue at this point what to do. She idles great sounds rgreat drives great, but she won't start when warm. This is a problem bc I drive all over for work so I may be somewere for 20 min or all day never know.
I've tried data logging in tunerpro but everything looks good to me.
When she won't start I have confirmed I have good fuel pressure, Injectors fire(noid light test) and I have spark. I also just put in new startee as I fried mine working on this problem.
Could it be my dizzy, or are any important sensors different on the 305 and 350, I used all the 305 sensores except for the knock which I knew had to be changed.

Re: hot start issues
Ok so I sprayed starter fluid in and it fires but dies right away, unless i pump the pedal a little.

Re: hot start issues
had a similar problem.....i replaced the injectors and it fixed the issue. check the ohms from the injectors, if theyre low (like 2 or 3) then they need replacing. i bought rebuilt (upgraded) bosch design 3 from jon at fuel injector connection on ebay. contact him with any other voltage or injector questions. hope it helped, mine was laid up for a long time while i chased my tail looking for the cause. good luck

Re: hot start issues
checked the injectors cold and hot all between 16 and 17 ohm.
I think it may be my pulse width during hot crank but i'm not 100% sure how to adjust that in the chip yet.

Re: hot start issues
Being that you can spray some starting fluid in the TB and it catches, but then won't stay running. It may not be just the cranking fuel that is the problem.
Make sure that both the CTS & MAT are reading correctly. Those are important for proper fueling.
When running and warmed up, are the BLM's OK? Do I understand correctly that you are still running the 305 injectors? You can compensate the cranking fuel for the smaller inejctors by changing the crrank fuel scalar value:
L83AD: FDB 13108 ; SCALAR FOR MAX PW
Just increase by the ratio of: 22#/hr over 19#/hr
RBob.
