I read it should be set to a lower number when doing VE Learn. I have it on 6
Does that seem OK?
Then I assume I do not use TP any longer to smoothen?

The VE table smoothing is the same in the WUD between the Classic and Flash versions. No difference. I would use the WUD for smoothing over TP.
As the VE table gets closer a lower smoothing factor works better. Lower levels of smoothing maintain the VE table as leanred in without smoothing over the corrections.
