ECM question

I have an ECM from an 87 305 TPI firebird, from what i gather, the posibilty of VATS in it is hit or miss? if i have VATS in it, all id need is a prom from an 87 305 TPI camaro right?

The VATS is not in the ECM itself, but its a setting in the PROM that plugs into the ECM, as well as a separate black box that reads the resistor in the key when you put it into the ignition. GM didnt start using it in f-bodies until late in 1988, and then in all f-bodies in 1989 and newer.
