have:
burn2
tunerproRT
ALDL cable

need:
chips
adapter

im working with a 7727 ecm from a lumina to run a 3.4 camaro motor in an s10. what i think i need is the G1 from moates, which includes chips. correct? the G1 description also says that it includes 2 eeproms. this means i dont need the uv pen, right?

anything im missing on teh hardware end?

Re: stuff to buy

the G1 is just the adapter... the GP1 package includes a pair of chips though, and a ZIF socket already mounted on the adapter. yes, no UV anything, the BURN2 will do it all(read/write/erase).

going to be running $A1, $8D or some other mask?

Re: stuff to buy

im planning on running a1 as ive heard that there is a lot of autotuning stuff written for it.

this is my first foray into tuning. i was planning on tuning my TBI setup, but then didnt.

supposedly the 3.1 tune in the ECM will get the truck back up and running, sa well as drivable. but if it doesnt do it well, im going to have to dial it in. i want to see at least 100 at the wheels and 28MPG out of this combo.

<-----

it works quite well if i do say so myself... but nothing is perfect. i think the latest version is on my website...

i have made a 8D auto-tuner as well... but the lower/upper VE tables were a PITA to deal with... but it should work nicely.

autotuners are near the top in the Excel Spreadsheets section, while the latest A1 ADX and XDF are near the bottom...
