Quick Ostrich question

Quick Ostrich question

Do I need a G1 (or similar) adapter to plug the Ostrich into my '165 or can it be plug directly in place of the chip? Thanks!

You can remove the PROM and socket the MEMCAL.

It's easiest when using the G1.

To socket the MEMCAL, requires a very good quality soldering iron, and desoldering pump, to do it easily, G1 would be much cheaper.

For the money, thats the best way. I remember spending 1-2 hours carefully modding a memcal. Vs spending what, $35 on a G1 adapter..
