Got some WOT data, now what?

Actually I do know what to do next, just couldnt think how to ask my question. Using TP RT ver 5, got a 0-100 run in yesterday, and was able to save the data before it stopped connection. I spent some time looking it over last night. My main Q is the RPM graph did not go to near where my stock tach gage showed when I drove car. I know it went right up to 6k, maybe even more. In the data log, the most it got to was just under 5300. Did I miss some data, or are the stock gages that far off? The speed graph read right on, showing that I got up to 100, and I noticed that on car when i backed off. I do know the stock temp gages are not that accurate.
Also the TPS volt reading was off, since at end of run it backed down, while the rpm and speed was increasing to 100.
I realize all this datalogging isnt perfect, and things get missed. I do have good WB AFR data now in my datastream, and it was ok, in the 11-12 range. I did add some WOT fuel just recently.
I suppose I could invest in a good aftermarket tach.........

Stock tachs and gauges in general are known to be off. 6000 to 5300 doesn't surprise me.

the datastream RPM is almost guaranteed to be correct.

Well that statement makes me feel better So looks like i need to get a good aftermarket tach if I really care what the rpms are.....
You would think that a stock valvetrain L98 would not like to go past 6000 anyways!! So why cannot I actually get to redline (5500) in the datalogs?
I did have some serious tranny work done few years ago, shift kit and all, but maybe he got it to shift too early?
I did see some spark retard during the first half of the WOT run, at high load, so looks like i need to address that...
