New to tuning

Has anyone actually ordered the new USB version of the pocket programmer on Transtronics.com?

http://secure.transtronics.com/osc/p...roducts_id/621

I would like to start, but would like to know if this is the correct reader/burner for my camaro's ECM. (1991 Z28, 5.7)...

Thanks!!

Re: New to tuning

I dont have the USB version I have the older parallel port PP2. It works excelent, but not being USB is a real pain. I will be buying a burn2 from moates soon. The burn2 is specifically designed for flash chips and I believe it will not reprogram the original style UV erasable eproms. I wouldnt bother with the older eproms anyhow, just upgrade to 27sf512 flash chips. The Burn2 will cost about half what a PP2 does, and it integrates nicely with tunerpro.

However, if you plan to program other things besides just your car then the USB pocket programmer would be a great choice.
