1st Data log!

OK, I'm using TP with the autoprom. I did my first log tonight. I guess I just would like to know if I am on the right track. It's an 87 Iroc with the 165 ecm and ABWN bin. I have a chip from pcmforless. I couldn't find a downloadable ABWN bin and I didn't read the chip before hand. My log was in park and no other gears. I used an ABWT bin, is that ok? I used the $32B xdf. I am pretty sure I tried the $6E ARAP, but it didn't seem right, is this because the stock one is the 32B?

I know these questions are pretty beginner, so I appreciate any help. I have printed all the tuning articles that I thought were relevant and have read them countless times. I think I am beginning to understand them, but I have a long way to go.

1st data log.txt

That is supposed to be the text file for the log? I hope it attaches right! If any one can tell me if it looks right that would help me out. I am not looking for you to tell me exactly what to do, but just maybe help steer me in the right direction. I haven't tried to change anything yet. Hopefully tomorrow I can get the car on the lift and do a longer run through all the gears!

Thanks all for any help!

Re: 1st Data log!

That's not a data log sorry to say, that is the values programmed into your bin. In Tunerpro, you need to go to data acquisition and select a file to log to. If you don't have one, you need to create it first. Then you will hit record to actually log data from your ALDL port. Then you will need to export that file to a CSF (comma separated file) in order to look at it in excel. Good Luck

Ahh, I knew that seemed too simple! I'll try to get it right today. I appreciate the help. Kinda feel like a retard, but you gotta start somewhere. Thanks!

Re: 1st Data log!

OK 87, that looks like a real log on your second attempt. The only thing I see strange about it is your O2 sensor is not swinging. Your rich/lean counter doesn't seem to be incrementing. Also towards the end of the run, your BLM's are going rich. Try a little longer run, get it completely up to temperature and see what happens, You are on the road to tuning, congrats on your first log.
