Calculation ? on new build
This winter I put in a new engine
388 roller, 10.5 CR,patriot heads, 30lb injectors
I'm using EBL/Flash for tuning. I'm starting this thing up for the first time this week and just want to double check a couple of things with you guys.
According to my worksheet my BPC-BPC vs Vac I come up with 154, does that sound correct?
Is there any other injector adjustment in the tables I need to verify before start up? or does that table cover everything.
Just hate to start it up and have it run to lean or rich.
thanks

I believe it may be in the Utility that RBob furnishes. It offers a guide as to what you may wish to change initially. It also may be on his site under into tuning part 2.
SD or MAF?

Thanks Ron, its SD.
In the guide it only states to make the necessary change to the BPC-BPC vs VAC. I have always been under the assumption that once you change that, then you just leave anything else that fuel injector related alone because that table automatically takes care of it.
Just trying to be careful and certain before I turn the key on this new engine.
I'll have to watch the BLM's carfully when it first starts.
Re: Calculation ? on new build
See my recent post on calibrating the FPR. You may wish to do that. Not sure how RBobs calculator takes into account differing mfg's spring pressures. He may have used GM TPI spring. I think he stated they are linear so maybe his calc will be spot on after reg pull pressure down with engine VAC.
As long as the BLM is within the range dictated in .bin it will not be lean nor rich. If ouside that range(ie 112-150) it cannot make adequate corrections. you may be able to crutch that short term by increasing FP if >150(adding fuel) during break in..
