Ok I just got my Ostrich 2.0 and have the latest TunerPro RT. I am using an ALDL cable from aldlcable.com for datalogging. For some reason ever since i downloaded the latest Tunerpro RT I haven't been able to datalog. Tunerpro won't connect but it will find the ostrich. My question is do I need to use the aldl cable with the ostrich to make changes on the fly? I wish this ostrich came with a user manual but it didn't so I'm not sure if I'm doing this right.
Have you set up the data acquisition side of Tuner Pro RT?
No you don't need the ALDL cable to tune the Ostrich, but it makes things much easier to know what the ECM is doing to know that you are changing things in the right direction.

Well I used to be able to plug in the aldl cable and hit the arrows in the tool bar and connect but it won't connect for some reason. The ostrich and aldl can be connected at the same time in Tunerpro rt right?Originally Posted by Six_Shooter

The way your first post reads is that, you downloaded a newer version of Tuner Pro RT, and without setting anything up, wanted to connect to the ALDL. So I ask again, did you set-up the data acquisition? (com port, ADX file, etc.)
Yes, the Ostrich and ALDL cable can be connected at the same time.

My bad i forgot to mention that, i did setup the adx file, xdf and all that but i'm not sure how to setup the com port. Before I usually just plug in the aldl cable and tunerpro rt would find it but now its not doing it. How do I setup the com port? Im using windows7 btwOriginally Posted by Six_Shooter

In Tuner Pro RT:
Tools>Preferences>Data Acquisition >Configure Plug-in Component.
Tools>Preferences>Data Acquisition >Configure Plug-in Component.

Thanks Six, works like a charm however i'm getting a glitchy display ever so often. Now I ran into another issue with data tracing. I believe i set it up correctly according to some threads I read but when I click the data tracing button Tunerpro crashes Originally Posted by Six_Shooter

*UPDATE*
Got everything working correctly. Found a thread on the Tunerpro forum that addresses the glitchy display on Tunerpro RT v5. Data tracing works perfect. Thanks for your help
