Stalling after DFCO
Stalling after DFCO
I'm having a kinda strange problem that I can't figure out.
When I'm slowing down towards a stop sign or something, and DFCO is enabled, sometimes it will stall out instead turning fuel back on.
The wideband won't even flicker from 21.9.
I haven't been able to catch it in a datalog, but I tried disabling stall saver on a suggestion, but that hurt more than it helped, so its back on.
I changed "DFCO remain if RPM above" from 900 to 1200 RPM
and "DFCO disable low VSS speed limit" from 15 to 20 mph.
Am I headed in the right direction?

Re: Stalling after DFCO
There should be a DFCO disable parameter, that allows fuel to be turned back on. You may have to raise this. Usually the re-enable is between 900 to 1200 RPM, you may have to raise this a few hundred RPM for the engine to be able to catch itself before stalling. There may also be a MPH setting that could help.
I know I set my DFCO disable to 27 MPH, stock it was 35 MPH.

You want to lower the DFCO disable MPH? What's the logic to that?
I figured if I raised the mph then fuel would turn back sooner, before the car slowed too much

There may be a map setting as well to increase.

No I suggested raising it, I was just saying in my case I lowered it, because I could, and to help with a slight surge I had when fuel was enabled at 35 MPH. This also helped my in town milage.
You may want to look at stall saver settings too. You may need to raise them, not disable them to get where you want.
