am i on the right track??

These are the VE tables of my 3.1L camaro. I added a mild cam and heavely ported the intakes, heads. After data logging It was rich Low BLM at low rpms/mid kpa values.

The stock VE table was a mountain and i could see some of the valleys when I played back the log on tunerpro.

This is just a rough ve tables as i havent attempted to burn it and data log the new bin.

I also changed some values in the idle tables and smoothed that one out alot.

If the engine runs better with the changes then you are on the right track. Need to give the engine what it wants, not what we/you/someone thinks it wants (Grumpy, RIP).

ok well i did change those tables disabled the air system and afew other little things. I just burnt my first chip!!!!!So now i either need to buy a adapter or just solder this 29C256 flash eprom into where the old was(i have the header adapter, thats how i read the stock chip). I know a computer building freak.. so he would be better at desoldering and soldering then me!

So if i get that down then ill data log and see if the car runs better or worse.. thanks!

Re: am i on the right track??

Well i though i was doing good till i got the message. IC is not equivelent to editor data. On the Batronix v3 burner i have. It is only burning the files to the 4608(dec) and the 1200(hex) on my chip.. Any one have any clues on what im doing wrong?? Its a older burner but once i read the IC I saw that my files that i put on there were only up to 1200(hex) address. I keep typing the end address in and thats not helping.... im going nuts doing this stuff but yet i keep trying....

Re: am i on the right track??

Not that I have burned a chip yet myself but I have read a couple threads about offsets. could that have anything to do with your issue? I know when I read my chip I had to change some of the settings in tunerpro because it only read part of the chip not the whole thing. I didn't realize it until I loaded the bin to my emulator and things went haywire.

Ended up getting it going with better software. tunerpro flash in burn. Were good to go and burning chips. now i just gotta get the values better matched in the VE charts..
