msd billet dizzy style

The msd billet dizzy style has ford style pickup and GMstyle module.Has anyone checked into spark latency and dose factory latency tables work with distributor.

I doubt that the factory latency calibration will be correct for that distributor and module combination. Looks to be time to get out the timing light and get the latency values for the table.

This is done by making the SA flat, say 20* BTDC across the board. Mark the damper at that point, start the engine and run it through the RPM steps. Checking/writing-down the at-crank SA along the way.

Then calculate the new latencies, plug the values into the latency table and re-check.

There is a thread here by liquidH8 that has the math along with describing the process.
