getting constant load

I've been trying to figure out how to tune my 383 hsr i got in my 85 ta and i noticed when i was data logging that it was giving a constant load of 125. Shouldnt the load of the engine constantly change? its not throwing any codes and im just trying to make sure everything is working right before making changes to the tune. Thanks

Re: getting constant load

Load (LV8) is calculated from engine RPM and airflow. So should change whenever either of those change. It is the 18th byte in the ALDL data stream. Check the definition file to see if it is using the correct one.

Re: getting constant load

airflow and rpm read fine so i thought load should also. Ill try reloading the definition file and try it again. TPIS added an adapter to the ecu so thier chip would fit... that whouldnt matter would it? It made it the same size as the connector on the ribbon of the ostrich.
