Is it set at a limit speed to resume injector firing? My initial thought was once it got low enough that the TC unlocked. Also, I should understand the difference b/t commanded and actual AFR; and I need to get a WB O2 sensor, but I installed a heated O2 a few months ago and that'll do for now.
