Reinstall EGR for blower?
I had a custom chip burned for my car to get it up and running. I am running an ebl p4 for my 383 tpi with a procharger d1sc. I noticed after getting everything dialed in closer that the egr was disabled in the burn for the prom. Would it be worth me adding it back into the tune or should I leave it disabled? I know this is always widely debated, but I am looking for advice from someone who has a lot of experience in prom tuning wether there would be any benefits or not. I am still new to the whole tuning thing. Thanks.

Re: Reinstall EGR for blower?
Six of one half a dozen of the other lol. You can enable it and add alittle more timing. Will you gain a noticeable amount of power ? Probably not with the butt dyno. Lowering the combustion temperature for sure but it. Seems like the adverse effect is more carbon buildup in the intake/plenum and may lead to faster cylinder wear. The major difference between early 60s vehicles with no egr and engine longevity was running a carb and poorer oil quality back then.

Thanks for the replies. I may just leave it off then. No, I don't have to pass a smog test.
