WBO2 controllers.

What are everyones thoughts on the 14point7 Spartan 2? Im stuck between that and the AEM UEGO or MTX-L. Those are my price ranges. I like the sound of the Spartan 2. I dont mind not having a guage as long as Tuner pro reads it correctly. Any reveiws of users? I cant find much information on it. I will be pluging in WB to Autoprom for now using $32B until i get everything switched over this winter to run $59.So i also want to make sure its compatable with $59 before i buy it. There website has no formulas on ADX setup (that i found) . If anyone has more info on Spartan 2 controller PLEASE enlighten me.

Re: WBO2 controllers.

I've used 14point7.com products for years, I have also used Innovate LC-1s in an overlapping time period. The 14point7.com products I have used so far are the SLC_DIY(1) and the SLC_PP2. Both have worked great for me. The DIY(1) was installed in my car for several years as a "permanent" install. The PP2 has been used for tuning other people's cars, the DIY(1) did a short stint for the same purpose when I first got it as well. Both of these products replaced LC-1s that I had.

I recently swapped out the DIY(1) in my car for an AEM Failsafe gauge, because I got a great deal on it (used) and wanted to test the AEM, since it has some rather cool features.

I will be buying a few more 14point7.com products in the not so distant future for some projects that I have coming up.

As far as formulas to use, that is the same as the Innovate LC-1. I believe it mentions something about this in the documentation.

Yes, the Spartan will do what you want and will be able to be used with $59, or running directly into the AutoProm.

Re: WBO2 controllers.

Thanks for the reply. Well i seen it was 0-5v 10-20AFR Linear. but i wasnt sure. this would be my first Wideband. Permanently installing it is what i figured. I did read one post on another forum on the spartan 2. It said that the controller and sensor are soldered together? and that you should get just the controller for ease of installment.

Re: WBO2 controllers.

That was the Spartan 1, Spartan 2 has made the sensor easily replaceable.

Re: WBO2 controllers.

Alright thanks this clears alot up for me. I cant see any reason why not to get the spartan 2 then. For the price why isnt there more users? And then with $59 would i just use the controller in the tables/scalars/flags as if it was an LC-1 since theres no option in the flags for spartan.

I used the LC-1 selection with my DIY(1).

Re: WBO2 controllers.

okay i see. i just read a post where they were saying that its nice to have a gauge to compare with your adx, to make sure your getting the correct reading into tunerpro for the same AFR values. now im sceptical bc it only has one output for afr the other output is lambda.cant really hook up gauge and apu1. how would i compare? ive never set any of this up so im not sure if i should just wing it. haha. if its set up correctly, could it still be off?

Re: WBO2 controllers.

Wouldnt you be able to use a volt meter to varify? Like if im idleing at 14:1 there should be exactly 2volts on the output. Volts x 2 + 10. Correct?
