Question to throttle follower

Hello

When you start the cold engine and drive without a stop the throttle follower steps are a bit higher (~ 1300U/min at N during driving) till you stop the car the next time. Then the steps are much lower (~ 1000U/min at N during driving) ?? What parameter is responsible for that ? If i never come to a stop, the follower remains high. i dont understand this. If you restart the engine, the same happens again.

Re: Question to throttle follower

What code mask? It most likely isn't throttle follower that is causing the IAC to stay open. Every mask I've seen has that decay out as the throttle is closed.

It is more likely the IAC idle speed logic that is holding the IAC open.

Re: Question to throttle follower

Sounds like ECT VS idle speed to me. Just not idling for it to adjust lower.

Re: Question to throttle follower

What means ECT ?

If you have the first stop (and it is not related with the engine on time) then the program makes something and the steps of the follower are much lower than before.

I dont like this behavior, because if the follower has a lot of steps then deceleration is poor. And on my daily route i have no stops.

Re: Question to throttle follower

ECT = engine coolant temperature, also referred to as the CTS (coolant temperature sensor).

What is the engine, transmission, and the year of your car?

In order to help we need to know which ECM & code base is being used.
