EGR disable add fuel?

For the people who have deleted their EGR on MAF cars have you added a little bit of fuel to help with combating the higher temperatures or is this a null point?

Re: EGR disable add fuel?

I've never worried about slightly higher combustion chamber temperature with removing egr function. Or are you referring to lean cruise and egr ?

Higher cylinder temperature can lead to pre-det.
But there are tons of pre 70s engine and race eng not using egr system.
I have my egr disabled and don't get any knock. With the egr disabled the timing
Will not advance for egr operation.

My Express van has had the EGR turned off and removed for several years. Removed it when the Marine intake went on. I run lean cruise on it at about 15.5-16:1 afr. Have not had any issues from running lean without EGR.

That is good to hear all good then. Sounds like no need to worry about it.
