VOLTAGE OFFSETS
VOLTAGE OFFSETS
There is a lot of info out there on offsets, but with modified injectors, who knows what they really have. Has anyone sent any injectors to DeatschWerks or other places that measure the offsets? If so, were you happy with the service and were the results what you inspected?
Re: VOLTAGE OFFSETS
That's why I went with factory injectors for the flow rate I wanted. I had bought a set of Bosch III injectors second hand from someone that were modified from a "well known" injector company on this board and I had the absolute damndest time trying to get them set up properly in the bin. The company threw a few generic offset tables "over the wall" to me but none of them worked.
I ended up ditching them and getting some factory Ford Motorsport injectors off Ebay. They work perfectly with the factory offset tables.

Re: VOLTAGE OFFSETS
To answer my own question, I called the very helpful and knowledgeable people at DeatschWerks in Oklahoma city. They sell and manufacture fuel injection related parts. They also clean and flow test injectors for customers. I could send them one injector to test which would give me the correct offset voltages. I decided to just buy new Bosch EV14 injectors which come with a characterization summary and flow data from 1ms to static, and individual flow data for my injectors.
Tuning without the correct voltage offset can be very frustrating. Not a problem at higher RPM's or acceleration, but You just can't quite get that idle and light throttle smoothness you are looking for. You can guess or try different offsets you get online, but every time you change the offset value it changes the VE tables, and you have to retune. While $75 seems like a lot to have an injector tested to get the correct offset, I spent more than that on gas just driving around data logging, trying to get my car to run the way it should in those 20 MPH zones.
