Hacked memcal/prom?

Hey guys first if this is the wrong place to post this let me know. I bought an '86 IROC Z converted from 305 to 350 by PO. Car runs and has plenty of power but has starting issues, runs good at times and real bad sometimes. Did a tune up and replaced the didtributor (module was coroded). Ran better but still not right. Pulled the ecu to check prom, PO claimed it was an aftermarket tuned chip. Well this is what I found. Has anyone seen anythjng like this? Thanks

Re: Hacked memcal/prom?

Looks like the original chip went south and someone without soldering skills snipped the pins and soldered in a new prom.
You may have a ninth injector issue or most tuners use 89 ($6e)programming and unplug the ninth injector.

Re: Hacked memcal/prom?

I prefer using a dip after removing the old prom.

Yup bad soldering skills. Well that puts me at a need for a prom. He also PO gave me a vette prom that is from TPICHIPS. Would that work? Thanks
