What is Craig Moates software and where can I find it??

I've tried searching for it, but all I can find is people asking specific questions about the program. I just wanted an overview of what it is and where I can find it. I tried http://members.tripod.com/moatesenheimer/gmecm but that link does not work - page not found. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

What will I need to burn my own chips?

I just downloaded the Craig Moates software. I do not plan on using it until i get the materials to burn my own chips. Where do i get the materials to do so? I have an old 486 computer and i also read that you can make an aldl attachment from a serial connector at this site; http://www.techedge.com.au/vehicle/aldl8192/8192hw.htm
Has anyone done this? and will I need a scan tool? What materials will I need to buy and what tools can i make my self to get started burning my own chips? Any additional help would be greatly appricaited.

Scan tool needed for prom burning?

Thanks tc602. I'm not sure if it mentions that i need a scan tool or not?? Do i need a scan tool? I may try to fix my father-unlaw's 486 lap top and fab. a serial connector to my aldl unit and use that in place of a scan tool. Has anyone made thier own ALDL from a serial connector?

Thanks

Sure, it's easy. Check my website for a few different schematics. There are similar designs, but they primarily pull from the MAX-232 or 2-transistor breeds.
