I have an 87 gta that I put the 6E tune in. I know for the fan I had to change to normally open. Trial and error to figure that out with the fan acting weird. But what about the ccp. Does that stay the same or should it be normally closed? Just want to make sure my evap system is working correct with 6E.

 

At key-off, remove the vacuum line from the solenoid that goes to the TB. Now see if you can pull air (mity-vac) through the solenoid. If so it is NO (or a piece of charcoal is holding the pintle open). If you can't then it is a NC solenoid.

Ok I hooked up the mity vac. Pulled vacuum and it dropped. So Normally open correct?

 

If the vacuum dropped, doesn't that mean you can't pull air through the solenoid?

It’s seems to be pulling vacuum and when I’m done pumping the gauge drops. I tried uploading a video but it’s not letting me.
