injector tuning question

i have 1987 camaro iroc with 350, aftermarket heads. lingenfelter super ram and procharger at 6-8 psi. I will be using the ostrich and tuner pro but i am a beginner with tuner pro. my question is with the 42# SVO greentop injectors, can i make these work ok with the 165 32b ECM? do i just change the scalars? i dont have any data for these injectors. or would i be better off going with a diff injector?

Re: injector tuning question

My advice is to only use injectors where you can get the voltage offset data for that exact p/n.

At which point you would need to change the injector flow constant as well as the voltage offset table.

Re: injector tuning question

I would also have the injectors flow checked to assure consistent delivery to all cylinders. Don’t assume!

Re: injector tuning question

If you insist on making it work with what you have rather than a more sophisticated approach, try the bpw vs load table. Don't forget to clear the flag/switch (bit 6) as shown:

For a given row, start with increments of 0.305 ms (0x04 raw) for the 42 lb/hr injectors. Pay special attention to the high load column in the boosted rpm range (2,000+ rpm) and increment it vertically this time (by the same value) up to the torque peak (4,000-4,400 rpm) and then flatten it out the rest of the way up to 6400 rpm. The load variable will peg early so you will need to compensate with extra pw in this manner along with Power Enrichment tuning.

LC016: $22; 0010 0010 3rd AIR FUEL MODE WORD
;
; Bit 0 = not used
; 1 = Reset Corr/init on A.E.
; 2 = not used
; 3 = not used
;
; 4 = not used
; 5 = Int Reset when B.L.M. cell Chnge
; 6 = Calc Base Inj PW not Tbl (C434)
; 7 = Purge when output energized
