ok I tested my cable and it works great!... two resistors one transistor and using pin H for 12V... works with just ground data and 12V.. now I was thinking of putting a serial connector in my ashtray and taping of the aldl wires behind the connector.. anyone see a problem in doing this? I dont' smoke and it's nice because I have the 12V socket for the notebook and then I would have the serial plug for the notebook and put a three way switch for short a&b mode 10k mode & open mode.. although mine works without the 10k so I guess I could just put a switch for a short to a&b for quick code checks.. any opinions?
