What's the difference between the IPP1 and IPP2 pocket programmers??

Anyone know? It only lists the IPP2 on the site. Thanks.

PP1 is the older DOS setup,
and PP2 is the new Windows software.

You can't use one with the others software. Imagine my surprise when I finally had one die (it took dropping it several times in addition to doing hundreds and hundreds of chips), and then just plugged the new one in and nothing worked. sigh, then I had to take the time to read the instructions, hahaha.

And when they say shock hazard on a flash camera if you open it, they really really mean it.
Nothing like a little electroshock therapy for depression, hahaha...

1) It is my understanding that the IPP2 has reversed polarity as compared to the IPP1.

2) The IPP1 does work with the windows software.
