Hhheeeellllpppp!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi,

today I installed in my 91`GTA 305cui,5G a chip from fastchip. When I now start the engine the fan starts and the service engine light stays on! And the engine doesnt run fine. Must I reset the ecm or anything??? PLEASE HELP!!!! My ECM has the no. 01227730.

It sounds like the PROM might not have been installed with all the pins making contact. If it is a piggyback style, make sure everything is settled on the pins correctly. Make sure the clips that hold the MEMCAL in place are either holding the MEMCAL or the piggy-back board securely to the row of pins on the ECM. When I first got into this I would have a bad solder joint every once in a while and by applying slight pressure on the chip, the fans went off. Good luck, -Matt-

If the above does not work, then contact Fastchips...your EPROM may be wrong and there is nothing we can do, only them.
