I am converting to a 730 and know the knock sensor is different for the 90-91 cars. I've read that the ohms are what makes up the difference? If this is so, can I just run a direct wire from the 165 knock sensor and put a resistor inline to cut the ohms back? Thus making the 730 a happy camper?

Wes, you can. Measure the resistance of each knock sensor and put the proper resistance in parallel or series to make the sensor appear to be correct to the ECM

Thank you. Just wanted to make sure. I plan to make a quick disconnest deal that will allow me to go back to the 165 knock setup without doing anything but switching wires. Wish me luck.
