headlight/interior lights

About a year ago I was putting a cd player into my 84' Firebird. When installing the cd player a hot wire from the cd player was accidently wired to a ground wire for the radio. After looking at a wiring diagram I found that the gound wire in the radio is conected to the grounding wire for the shifter light, dash lights, clearence lights, and headlights. The clearence lights, dash lights all burned out due to the short. The headlights also kept blowing the headlight fuse after the short. I disconnected the hot wire from the ground wire that I shorted out, replaced the headlight fuse (doesn't blow the fuse anymore), replaced the clearence lights that burned out, and installed a new headlight switch. I still need to replace the dash lights. Here is my problem now. The headlights still don't work right. I can turn them on and they come up right, but when I flip the switch to turn them off, the headlight bulbs won't turn off (so the headlight doors won't go down either). When the lights are on, I have to pull the headlight fuse to turn of the lights, when I put the fuse in the headlights doors go down. I'm wondering if I messed up a relay somewhere and it sticks when it gets warm. I doubt that the problem is in the wiring for the headlight doors because they seem to work right. I think that the problem is in the headlight wiring, but I'm not sure where to start. Any ideas of where to go from here would be appreciated.

Im having the same problem, put in new radio, except my exterior parking lights fuse is blown, and the motors wont go down, up fine, but not down. When I know Itll be daylight so I dont look like a fool I pop in the fuse with the parking lights off and they go down. The fuse pops when I turn them on, so I need to go take a look at the wiring tonight...
