Automatic Window Rolldown?

I know in my sister's '97 Grand Prix GT, she can just press the power window button slightly and the window will automatically roll down all the way. WShe does not have to hold it down. She can hold it down to take it down the amount she wants or else if she taps it, it will roll completly down.

My question is, how would I go about doing this to my car?

Mine does that. But maybe it's b/c the alarm wiring changes it up.

hunt up a DEI530 window module or one of it's generic clones

if you're uncomfortable wiring one in, circuit city or bestbuy should have them in stock and be willing to install it for you.

you can hook the dei530 module up to an alarm, but it is not required.

the bird i retrofitted power windows into is using the aftermarket window module solely for it's "one touch" features. the window module is in no way connected to the alarm installed in the car.

some people have the window module wired in such a way that pressing a button on the alarm remote rolls the windows down a little bit to get air flowing on a hot day.

some also wire the module so that windows automatically rollup whenever alarm is armed. but be warned that this causes excessive wear on the regulator & motor especially if the system passively arms.
