Rear Hatch Not Opening

Rear Hatch Not Opening
My rear hatch does not open all the time i push the switch back with no results. It does not happen all the time though. But when it does open there is as very loud squeeking noise. Is this the hatch motor or something else. Is it a difficult or expensive repair.
