msd distributor?

I went to summit and it says that the pro billet dist. must be used with a MSD ignition box. Is this true?

The one I got needs an MSD box (8361), but that's cause it doesn't come with an ignition module & has a connector that hooks up to a MSD Box.
Since I had an 6AL & Blaster 2, I wanted one that didn't have a coil incap design or ignition module. Cause of this It only cost around 180 bucks.

Most of the Pro-Billet distributors are ready to run without an MSD 6 box, and comes in the HEI style w/ignition module. But they cost closer to 250+++ bucks

If your looking for a HEI w/Vacuum Advance (ready to run) then check out part # 8365. They also have some a little cheaper, but ship without an MSD HEI coil installed.
