Do I need to go in from the front or the back to change the bulbs and if the front how do I get the headlight **** off to remove the front bracket? Thanks.

The stock bulbs seem to be soldered into the socket, so you can't just pull the bulb out from the front. Somewhere on the headlight switch itself is a little pushpin that you push in to release the headlight **** stem.

You have to remove your gage cluster and change them from the back. They're a little twist-n-lock type socket with the bulb soldered in. You can buy them at the stores that way for about $3 a pair (4 bulbs total for backlighting, plus your turn signals, brights, SES,etc.)

Easiest way to replace lights is to take the bulb and socket to your local GM dealer or parts supplier and get the whole unit. You cannot solder the bulb properly in the socket as it origionally breaks out. I had a blue condom on a light for my 89 Olds and GM had the replacement in the socket and the price wasn't too bad.

Go to a junkyard and get some from an old car. Also not all of the cars had bulbs that were soldered in the connector. I found a bunch that weren't in a junkyard for free. Took them home, cleaned them up, and replaced the bulbs with brighter one's.:lala: :lala: :lala: :lala:
