Anybody have this problem.

The coil was put on the car Jan 1 2001. I had put new MSD cap, rotor,
8.5 spark plug wires and plugs back in September.
I was putting on the MSD 6Al and went to remove the coil wire, it came of really easy
and when I looked at the coil I’m like what the heck is this.
I had to go out and get a new coil (stock).
I am going to call MSD and see what they say about this,
the stock coil had 129,000 miles on it no problem.

Ps I hope its ok to post pic .

If any body wants to see were I put my MSD6AL then go here

oh crap that sux a$$ man.

find an experienced TIG welder in your area. Have him cut away some of that plastic and either silversolder or TIG that terminal back on.

The break may be a fluke, or maybe caused by vibration. Using rubber insulators to mount the coil may cut down on the vibes.

Good luck

obviously I like MSD equipment, but I have beef with the company. Back in 1995 they (MSD) stole several engineering ideas directly from me that went directly into their now released Digital-7 box. No I didn't have the stuff patented nor do I have any legal leverage, but I thought that was pretty lame of them.
So I am interested to hear if they honor any kind of waranty for your coil.
please let me know.
thanks

According to a thread in the Aftermarket Vendor Review section - MSD has exceptional customer service. I'd say give them a call!
